You’re invited as we kickoff the restoration of our National Register Landmark also known as Lerma’s Nite Club with a Dance on December 15th, from 6pm-11pm. For decades, Lerma’s provided a stage for up-and-coming conjunto musicians. The dancehall was an integral part of the social fabric on San Antonio’s West Side, especially for the older Latino couples who came to do the polka and cumbia every weekend. City inspectors with concerns about the safety of the building shut Lerma’s down, leaving its future in limbo. We, as Esperanza , are committed to restoring the Lerma’s building and preserving our national history and culture. Save Lerma’s is a community-driven initiative to restore Lerma’s Nite Club, a historically significant conjunto dance hall and cultural landmark located in the West Side of San Antonio.

Come to the Baile (Dance) and celebrate with us estilo Lerma’s. Taquachito, Polka, Vals, Chotiz, Bolero, Redoba and Cumbia your heart out. Celebrate with us the sounds of our very own American folk music, a combination of German, Czech, and Polish accordion, fused with Mexican Norteño music. Live Music with Eddie “Lalo” Torres y Su Conjunto, Los Hermanos De Leon, and Santos Sosa y Sus Estrellas. Special Guest performance by Rita Vidaurri and Salvador “Pavo” García.
